 Remington is one of the most significant companies in the usa.  Since 1816, Remington was a pioneer in guns, ammunition, targets, and many, many more businesses.The legend is that Remington's creator, Eliphalet Remington 1100, thought that he could build a much better gun than that he could purchase.  Eliphalet subsequently set out to do that task in his father's forge in New York.  In the autumn of 1816, Eliphalet entered a shooting game with his handmade flintlock gun, and as they say, the rest is background.

Remington & Sons.Only a number of the companies accomplishments from the 1800's are; creating the first hammerless strong breech repeating shotgun, the very first hammer-less autoloading shotgun, the initial powerful high-profile slide action repeating rifle, as well as the very first lock violation autoloading rifle.  And of course, fabricating type-writers, sewing machines, and cash registers, all from the USA.   Back in 1933, on account of the fantastic depression, Remington provided a commanding share to Dupont and on May 24th, Dupont gained 60 percent of Remington.  Dupont would eventually become the only owner of Remington afterwards, and might own Remington till 1993.   Remington became the pioneer in snare and target gear with their purchase of Chamberlin Trap & Goal Business in 1934.  

In 1940, the US authorities approached Remington to enlarge their production of ammunition throughout the building of numerous new plants.  The authorities wanted to create the plants and place Remington accountable for conducting the plants.  A smart move, together with World War II quickly approaching.  I think this says a whole lot about how significant Remington was and is to america.   The planet's best selling pump action shotgun premiered in 1950.   Soon afterwards, Remington introduced the plastic body shotshells, I guess that it did not hurt using DuPont backing the plastic study.  The sixties were not only great for hippies, as Remington introduced among the most well-known models, the Model 700 bolt-action gun in 1962, along with also the Model 1100 autoloading shotgun (the dad of my gun, the 11-87) in 1963.    24 decades afterwards, Remington started Model 11-87. 

The 11-87 was improvement to the first 1100.  The 11-87 may take as much as a 3 inch shell as it came out and they have versions of this 11-87 that take around 3 1/2 inch mags.  Remington has generated over 52 distinct variations of this 11-87, but the 1100 has made a return in the goal shooting world.    Reliability and low-recoil make it a joy to shoot, I have been shooting at a 11-87 Premier for near ten decades.   Since the 21st century arrived Remington did not slow down since they introduced the most critical progress in gun and ammunition because the self indulgent cartridge, the EtronX System. 

The EtronX is a digital ignition system for centerfire rifles and ammunition.   The listing of Remington's new goods that this decade will choose two pages but here are a few highlights; the MODEL 710, higher performance rifle- reduced price (2001), the debut of'REM CHOKES' (2002), a built in gun safe lineup (2003), Model 1100 Contest released (2005), also Remington creates its original side by side versions since 1910 using the Premier Side by Side line (2007).   I could go on and on about the background of the fantastic American business.  For 193 decades, Remington has been on the outer edge of this firearm business and a whole lot more.
