 This question together with the question is marijuana addictive is something which has been split people all over the world.  As some people insist cannabis isn't addictive while others insist it's, we also have the same argument as to the long-term effects of its usage.Many people say there aren't any long-term side effects Weed buds.  Well I for one certainly disagree and I'm going to tell you .  Firstly allow me to say I talk from experience.  I am not some anti cannabis head I am just someone who had been smoke much too much and now have quit permanently. What you will find when you smoke excess amounts over a long period of time is that your quality of life can change radically.  Now for most people this will happen over a few years of use. 

OK it's not like heroin or cocaine that you may get addicted to after one or two times and may take over your life in a matter of weeks.  No it is a lot slower than that but it can have long term consequences.What exactly happens is finally it becomes less powerful and it quits being the enjoyment it was and you also realize it's a burden on your finances, is interrupting your judgement and your ability to make logical decisions.

Long term users often have feelings of paranoia and that is just accepted as a side effect when using but after stopping some people still report they still have the feelings of paranoia and for some they even escalate into full blown panic attacks.  Now that is only a tiny fraction of people but it's a reality none the less and that is only 1 effect.Me personally I have discovered a loss of the short term and long term memory. 

While using cannabis that the short-term memory goes (obvious really, I suggest if you're always stoned just how are you going to remember what happened?)  Countless times I would be in a dialogue and would feel stupid because I was unable to remember the simplest details and sometimes I've even completely forgotten what the thread of the conversation was.  I thought this was a short term thing but after quitting
